Glee
I really loved the first episode of Glee and I was really excited to see where it was going.

Unfortunately, it's really gone downhill since then. I'm disappointed to see that the Artie, the disabled kid (who's a fantastic singer) not only never gets a solo, he barely gets any lines. Mercedes (fat, black, sassy stereotype) and Tina (stutter) also don't get enough screen time, or any flushing out as characters. And can we get Kurt a love interest already? I was hoping we'd have some real portrayals of under-represented people, instead of just tokens. But most importantly...

TURN OFF THE DAMN AUTO TUNE.

I do love Jane Lynch though.

As much as I love Glee, I do agree with you. I don't think it'd be possible to really flesh out ALL of those characters to the extent that we might like to see, but they could certainly work on exposing one or two of them a bit deeper instead of focusing on only the white and/or Jewish kids.

I would reeeeeeally love to see Kurt get a love interest. Seeeeeeriously! And they tried to give Mercedes and Tina each lead songs a couple episodes ago, but I'd like to see more stuff like that. Or at least more about Tina. I think she's the one that intrigues me the most because she's really quiet.

OH. And Jane Lynch is hilarious. She's the main reason I watch the show.

"I'm not advocating intimacy with your pets. I believe intimacy has no place in a marriage." (or something close to that). Ah. Love her.

She's SO funny, I loooooove her. I'm really really glad she has finally gotten a big role in something. She makes even the silliest of lines work, she's so talented.

I really like it too, but, it's so stupid to hear them talk about how like "we don't care about the popular kids, everyone in Glee is different!11" and then they JUST focus on the pretty/popular ones. Would it really be too much to give Artie an episode?

Yeah, they haven't done anything with Tina's character at all yet.

Also, did you see this week's episode with Emma singing "I could have danced all night?" It was so synthesized that it didn't even sound like a real person by the end. What a shame.

I know. The music stuff is getting a little ridiculous. Which is so sad because I really do like certain parts of the show. :(

I watched the last episode (the one with "i could have danced all night") and it was the first episode I'd seen. Honestly, I wasn't that impressed.

BLARG, that ONE song was what inspired this post...she did not sound like a real person by the end of it. How dare you do that to a song from a classic musical????
