Good news
I got my thesis back from my instructor on Wednesday. I got a %95, which gets me an A in the class. Also? My instructor thinks I should look into publishing.

It hasn't really hit me yet. But, I'm happy. I enjoy science.

What kind of bee is that in your icon. I totally didn't realize it was a bee until a after looking at it for the 3rd or 4th time. It's so large and scary (ok...to me, at least).

It went pretty well. It would have gone much worse if [info]funkychipmunk hadn't shown up and bought three pairs of earrings. The manager type person said it was really slow this time around--I imagine because of Pride this weekend. Also, what with the economy, sales have taken a huge nosedive for me. I do this art sale at Cal twice a year and usually make somewhere around $200-$400. The past spring one, in April, I made $70. It's been pretty depressing.

Awww, that bites. The economy is definitely hitting jewelry really hard.

You probably have thought of this already but is there a way you can specifically market your line as "affordable jewelry" to entice people looking for good deals? In my opinion all your works are priced better than fair.

Yeah, luxury items are the first to go, I guess.

I've thought about that (and it's true, I price myself really low; partially to make it more affordable and partially because I worry that it's not worth more) but I can't think of a way of doing it without making it seem tacky. I'm also thinking about starting to charge more, because, what with rising material costs and people not buying much, I can't keep this up.
