UP!
UP comes out today! I cannot WAIT to see it again. Eeeee, I'm so excited, I'm so excited. You guys have to see it and tell me what you think.

Even though Carl is an old man, and I am a fairly young woman, I really identified with his character. Feeling like your life is over, feeling like you don't get to own your dreams...these are emotions I am well-acquainted with. A few months ago, when we went to Wondercon, we heard Pete Docter speak (and I got to meet him, OMG) and he said one of the recurring themes in UP is escape. Feeling like you have nothing left in your life and wanting to escape from it. These days, I feel like I don't have much of a life left. I want to escape.

I don't think I've seen many of the short films! I've been trying to remember all day at work which ones I've seen, and the only ones I recall are Partly Cloudy (obviously) and the old man playing chess. Are they on the DVDs? I never even bother to look at the extra stuff for DVDs, which is silly since I should with Pixar movies - I'm sure there's some really cool stuff on them.

Honestly, the first time I watched Cars I also wasn't much of a fan. But the more I popped it in when I was working on stuff, the more I really came to enjoy it and look forward to watching it. Now I love it.

Wall-E was a good one, but it was just so different. What with the lack of dialogue and stuff like that. I definitely thoroughly enjoyed it and own it (of course), but it doesn't hold the same ultra-cutesy-and-fun appeal of the other Pixar movies. Know what I mean? It's a great movie, though.

Monster's Inc is probably my favorite also :D The Incredibles and Finding Nemo also. It's so hard to choose a favorite with Pixar! I LOVE all of the movies. I haven't seen A Bug's Life since around the time it came out - I actually forgot it was a Pixar movie! I'm not even sure if I have the DVD (will have to remedy that this weekend). As much as I love rats, Ratatouille wasn't a huge hit with me. Maybe it's like Cars and it'll take a couple more viewings to get into.

Did you see that they're coming out with Toy Story 3 in 2010? I know I'll love it, but it just seems like it's been SO long since the other two came out, and the last one's ending seemed very much... an ending. I was just very surprised by that trailer today, and wonder why they decided to go back and pick up on that story.

I went to Barnes & Noble tonight and found a million Up books in the children section, it was insane. Like a wilderness guide, told by Russell. There was also a coloring book! I wanted to buy them all :P
